NJA 2026 Entries Now Open

Applications for National Jewellery Awards 2026 are now open. Jewellers, designers, women entrepreneurs and students from across India can submit their entries for consideration.

When and Where Will NJA 2026 Winners Be Announced?

The winners of the National Jewellery Awards 2026 will be announced on October 3, 2026, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai.

The awards ceremony will take place during the India Gem and Jewellery Show (GJS) Diwali Edition, a business-to-business jewellery exhibition positioned as a major industry platform.

For the 15th edition, Ernst & Young (EY) has been appointed as the Independent Process Advisor.

The involvement of an independent process advisor is intended to strengthen the credibility and transparency of the awards mechanism.

According to GJC, the awards will follow a multi-stage evaluation process to assess entries across the various categories and ensure that the selection process maintains high standards of fairness and professionalism.

How Will NJA’26 Entries Be Evaluated?

The entries will undergo a structured, multi-level assessment. A Grand Jury comprising experienced industry professionals, entrepreneurs, advisers and financiers will evaluate submissions. Entries will be assessed on parameters including:

12 नए जिले अनिवार्य हॉलमार्किंग सूची में शामिल

मिनिस्ट्री ऑफ कंज्यूमर अफेयर्स, फूड एंड पब्लिक डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन ने Hallmarking of Gold Jewellery and Gold Artefacts (Third Amendment) Order, 2026 के जरिए जिलों की नई सूची जारी की है।

यह आदेश 3 अगस्त 2026 को नई दिल्ली में जारी किया गया। इसे Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 के तहत BIS से परामर्श के बाद जारी किया गया है। आदेश सरकारी राजपत्र में प्रकाशित होने की तारीख से प्रभावी होगा।

नए जोड़े गए 12 जिलों का राज्यवार विवरण इस प्रकार है:

• असम: कोकराझार और लखीमपुर — कुल 12 जिले
• हरियाणा: पानीपत — कुल 21 जिले
• मध्य प्रदेश: भिंड, खंडवा और विदिशा — कुल 19 जिले

असम में दो नए जिले शामिल

असम में कोकराझार और लखीमपुर को नई सूची में शामिल किया गया है। संशोधित सूची में इन्हें क्रमशः राज्य के छठे और सातवें कवर किए गए जिले के रूप में दर्ज किया गया है। इसके साथ ही असम में अनिवार्य हॉलमार्किंग के दायरे वाले जिलों की संख्या 12 हो गई है।

हरियाणा में पानीपत भी हॉलमार्किंग के दायरे में

हरियाणा में पानीपत को नई सूची में शामिल किया गया है। संशोधित सूची में यह राज्य का 21वां कवर किया गया जिला है। इसके बाद हरियाणा में अनिवार्य गोल्ड हॉलमार्किंग के दायरे में आने वाले जिलों की संख्या 21 हो गई है।

महाराष्ट्र में भंडारा की एंट्री

महाराष्ट्र में भंडारा को अनिवार्य हॉलमार्किंग कवरेज में जोड़ा गया है। संशोधित सूची में यह राज्य का छठा जिला है। नए जिले के जुड़ने के बाद महाराष्ट्र में कुल 30 जिले हॉलमार्किंग व्यवस्था के दायरे में आ गए हैं।

ओडिशा में अंगुल शामिल

ओडिशा में अंगुल को नई हॉलमार्किंग सूची में शामिल किया गया है। संशोधित सूची में इसे राज्य के पहले जिले के रूप में दर्ज किया गया है। इसके साथ ओडिशा में हॉलमार्किंग कवरेज बढ़कर 12 जिलों तक पहुंच गई है।

राजस्थान में कोटपूतली-बहरोड़ जोड़ा गया

राजस्थान में कोटपूतली-बहरोड़ को अनिवार्य हॉलमार्किंग व्यवस्था में शामिल किया गया है। यह संशोधित सूची में राज्य का 13वां जिला है। इस विस्तार के बाद राजस्थान में कुल 26 जिले हॉलमार्किंग के दायरे में हैं।

तमिलनाडु में कांचीपुरम शामिल

तमिलनाडु में कांचीपुरम को नई सूची में जोड़ा गया है। यह राज्य की संशोधित सूची में आठवें जिले के रूप में दर्ज है। इसके साथ तमिलनाडु में अनिवार्य हॉलमार्किंग कवरेज बढ़कर 32 जिलों तक पहुंच गई है।

उत्तराखंड में ऊधम सिंह नगर जोड़ा गया

उत्तराखंड में ऊधम सिंह नगर को हॉलमार्किंग व्यवस्था के तहत शामिल किया गया है। संशोधित सूची में यह राज्य का पांचवां कवर किया गया जिला है।

अब उत्तराखंड में कुल 7 जिले अनिवार्य गोल्ड हॉलमार्किंग के दायरे में हैं।

पश्चिम बंगाल में झाड़ग्राम शामिल

पश्चिम बंगाल में झाड़ग्राम को नई सूची में जोड़ा गया है। यह संशोधित सूची में राज्य का नौवां कवर किया गया जिला है।

इसके बाद पश्चिम बंगाल में हॉलमार्किंग व्यवस्था के तहत आने वाले जिलों की संख्या बढ़कर 22 हो गई है।

The revised coverage has been notified through the Hallmarking of Gold Jewellery and Gold Artefacts (Third Amendment) Order, 2026, issued by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.

The order was issued in New Delhi on August 3, 2026, under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016, after consultation with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The order states that it will come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

12 New Districts Added to Mandatory Hallmarking Coverage

The latest expansion covers 12 additional districts across nine states. The additions are distributed as follows:

The revised annexure confirms Kokrajhar and Lakhimpur as districts 6 and 7 in Assam, taking the state’s covered districts to 12.

In Haryana, Panipat has been added as district number 21 in the revised list.

Madhya Pradesh Adds Three Districts

Madhya Pradesh has recorded the largest increase among the nine states in this latest expansion, with three districts added.

Maharashtra Adds Bhandara

Tamil Nadu has added Kancheepuram to the mandatory hallmarking framework. It appears as district number 8 in the revised state-wise list.

The addition takes Tamil Nadu’s coverage to 32 districts.

Uttarakhand Adds Udham Singh Nagar

In Uttarakhand, Udham Singh Nagar has been added to the covered districts. It is listed as district number 5.

West Bengal Adds Jhargram

For Q1 FY27, the company reported consolidated revenue of Rs 2,012.8 crore, up 77.9% year-on-year from Rs 1,131.2 crore in Q1 FY26. Revenue also increased 5.3% sequentially from Rs 1,911.5 crore in Q4 FY26.

EBITDA rose sharply by 119.6% YoY to Rs 156.7 crore, compared with Rs 71.4 crore in the year-ago quarter. The EBITDA margin improved to 7.8%, up from 6.3% a year earlier.

Reported PBT increased 129% YoY to Rs 134.8 crore, while reported PAT jumped 140.7% to Rs 104.9 crore from Rs 43.6 crore in Q1 FY26. The PAT margin improved to 5.2% from 3.9%.

Operational PAT stood at Rs 104.9 crore, marking a 142.3% year-on-year increase, while operational PBT rose 130.1% to Rs 134.8 crore.

Operational PBT/PAT represents reported PBT/PAT after excluding non-operational income forming part of other income in the financial statements.

आज वैश्विक बाजार में भी मिला-जुला रुख देखने को मिला। सुबह 09:00 बजे (IST) COMEX पर गोल्ड 21.70 डॉलर यानी करीब (0.45%) की गिरावट के साथ 4379.80 डॉलर प्रति औंस पर कारोबार करता दिखा, वहीं चांदी में बढ़त दिखी और यह 0.101 डॉलर (0.17%) बढ़कर 63.625 डॉलर प्रति औंस पर पहुंच गई।

अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच शांति समझौते की उम्मीद और अमेरिका के कमजोर रोजगार आंकड़ों के कारण फेड की ओर से ब्याज दर बढ़ाने की चिंता कम हुई है। इसके चलते पिछले सप्ताह सोने और चांदी में तेजी रही। हालांकि, बाजार में उतार-चढ़ाव बना हुआ है।

शुक्रवार को अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में सोना और चांदी बढ़त के साथ बंद हुए। सोने का दिसंबर वायदा 2.37% की बढ़त के साथ 4,401.30 अमेरिकी डॉलर प्रति ट्रॉय औंस पर बंद हुआ। वहीं, चांदी का सितंबर वायदा 3.56% की तेजी के साथ 63.80 अमेरिकी डॉलर प्रति ट्रॉय औंस पर बंद हुआ।

घरेलू बाजार में भी दोनों धातुओं में तेजी रही। सोने का अक्टूबर वायदा 1.99% की बढ़त के साथ 1,51,820 रुपये प्रति 10 ग्राम पर बंद हुआ। वहीं, चांदी का सितंबर वायदा 2.49% की तेजी के साथ 2,31,466 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम पर बंद हुआ।

पिछले सप्ताह अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच शांति समझौते की उम्मीद और कमजोर अमेरिकी रोजगार आंकड़ों के बाद फेड की ओर से ब्याज दर बढ़ाने की आशंका कम होने से सोने और चांदी को समर्थन मिला। जुलाई में अमेरिका में 23,000 नौकरियों में कमी आई, जबकि बाजार को 85,000 नई नौकरियों की उम्मीद थी।

कमजोर अमेरिकी रोजगार आंकड़ों के बाद डॉलर इंडेक्स और अमेरिकी बॉन्ड यील्ड में भी तेज गिरावट आई। इसके चलते सोने को मजबूती मिली। सोने ने जनवरी 2026 के बाद सबसे बड़ी साप्ताहिक बढ़त दर्ज की।

सोने की कीमतों को चीन के केंद्रीय बैंक से भी समर्थन मिला। पीपुल्स बैंक ऑफ चाइना (PBOC) ने जुलाई में 20 टन सोना खरीदा, जो अक्टूबर 2023 के बाद उसकी सबसे बड़ी मासिक खरीद रही। इससे सोने की कीमतों में तेजी और मजबूत हुई।

आज सोने में गिरावट क्यों आई?

10 अगस्त को घरेलू और अंतरराष्ट्रीय बाजार में सोने की कीमतों में हल्की कमजोरी देखने को मिली। MCX पर सुबह 9 बजे सोना 1,51,585 रुपए प्रति 10 ग्राम पर कारोबार कर रहा था, जो 235 रुपए यानी 0.15% की गिरावट थी। वहीं, COMEX पर भी सोना 0.45% गिरकर 4,379.80 डॉलर प्रति ट्रॉय औंस पर आ गया।

पिछले सप्ताह कमजोर अमेरिकी रोजगार आंकड़ों और फेड की ब्याज दरों को लेकर कम हुई चिंता से सोने में तेज बढ़त आई थी। ऐसे में आज बाजार में कुछ मुनाफावसूली देखने को मिल सकती है। इसके अलावा, अमेरिकी डॉलर इंडेक्स और बॉन्ड यील्ड में होने वाले उतार-चढ़ाव का भी सोने की कीमतों पर सीधा असर पड़ता है।

चांदी की तेजी को औद्योगिक धातुओं में मजबूती से सपोर्ट मिला है। चांदी का इस्तेमाल केवल निवेश के लिए ही नहीं, बल्कि कई औद्योगिक क्षेत्रों में भी होता है। ऐसे में औद्योगिक धातुओं में तेजी आने पर चांदी की मांग और कीमतों को सहारा मिल सकता है।

In its first year, IAGES has established a rapidly expanding network of 140+ accredited partners across more than 750 partner outlets in 235+ cities across India.

The network includes several established jewellery and gold businesses, including GRT, Senco, PNG, Jos Alukkas, WHP, Orient Jewellers, Lagu Bandhu, Pothys, Thangamayil and Jagannath Pednekar. It also includes small and medium-sized regional and city-based retailers, highlighting the growing adoption of the IAGES accreditation framework across different segments of the industry.

IAGES Focuses on Building Trust in Gold Buying

The concept behind IAGES was developed by the World Gold Council with the objective of changing the gold-buying experience in India from one influenced by fear, cynicism and distrust to one based on trust, confidence and faith in the ecosystem.

#PehlaCheckIAGES Campaign Reaches 50 Million Consumers

Consumer awareness has remained a key part of IAGES’ first-year initiatives. The association has been running its ‘Before you exchange or buy gold, #PehlaCheckIAGES’ campaign to encourage consumers to purchase and exchange gold only through verified sources.

According to IAGES, the campaign has reached more than 50 million consumers through outdoor advertising, metro branding, digital platforms and social media initiatives.

The campaign aims to help consumers make more informed decisions when purchasing or exchanging gold while encouraging greater accountability across the industry.

IAGES Launches Accredited Partner Directory

As part of its efforts to make verified gold businesses easier to identify, IAGES launched its Accredited Partner Directory.

The platform allows consumers to search for verified gold businesses based on brand, location or category before visiting a store to purchase or exchange gold. IAGES said the online directory continues to attract a significant number of visitors every day.
